Terms

Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and Warm Faith. They cover what we offer, what we ask of you, how mentorship and billing work, and the limits of what we can promise.

In plain language

A short summary. It does not replace the full text below.

  • Reading, devotionals, prayer, teachings, games and reading plans are free.
  • Mentorship is a paid monthly subscription you can cancel at any time.
  • You keep ownership of everything you write here.
  • Be kind in groups and with mentors; harassment ends an account.
  • Mentorship is spiritual support, not professional counselling or medical care.
  • We can change or end features, and we will give notice when it matters.

01

This agreement

These Terms of Use form a binding agreement between you and [Legal entity name] ("Warm Faith", "we", "us"). By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the service, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use Warm Faith.

Our Privacy Policy is part of this agreement. Where a feature has extra rules — for example, small group guidelines — those rules apply in addition to these terms.

02

Who may use Warm Faith

  • You must be at least 16, or at least 13 with the permission of a parent or guardian where your local law allows that.
  • Mentorship, and any paid plan, requires you to be 18 or over and able to enter a contract.
  • You may hold one personal account. Accounts are for people, not organisations, and you may not share your login.
  • You may not use Warm Faith if we have previously closed your account for a serious violation of these terms.

03

Your account

Keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your login, unless it results from our failure.

Give us accurate information, and keep your email address current — it is how we send receipts, security alerts and notice of changes.

You can close your account at any time from your profile. Closing it cancels any subscription at the end of the paid period and starts the deletion described in the Privacy Policy.

04

What we provide

Warm Faith offers Scripture, daily devotionals, teachings, a prayer room and journal, guided reading plans, small groups, gentle games, and optional one-to-one mentorship.

The reading and prayer features are free. We may add, change or retire features as the service grows. If we retire something you rely on, or make a change that materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and, where you have paid for that period, a pro-rata refund.

We aim to keep the service available, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, faults and events outside our control will occasionally interrupt it.

05

Your content

Everything you write on Warm Faith — prayers, notes, journal entries, group posts, messages to your mentor — belongs to you. We claim no ownership of it.

You give us a limited licence to host, store, back up, encrypt and display your content for the sole purpose of operating the service for you. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in routine backups until they expire.

You are responsible for what you post where others can see it, and you confirm you have the right to post it. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may act on them freely, without obligation to you.

06

How we behave here

Warm Faith is meant to be a gentle place. When using groups, messages or any shared space, do not:

  • Harass, threaten, demean or single out another person, including on the basis of race, nationality, sex, gender, disability, age or belief.
  • Post sexual content involving minors, or any content that is unlawful, violent, or promotes self-harm.
  • Give medical, legal, financial or psychiatric advice dressed up as spiritual guidance.
  • Solicit money, sell products, recruit for another organisation, or spam other members.
  • Share another member's private writing, photographs or contact details without their permission.
  • Impersonate anyone, including our staff and mentors.
  • Try to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or bypass security or rate limits.
  • Use the service to build a competing product, or to train a machine-learning model on other people's content.

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you what happened and give you a way to respond.

07

Mentorship

If you subscribe to mentorship, we will suggest a mentor based on the answers you give. Your first conversation is free. You may change mentors, pause, or stop at any time.

Mentors offer spiritual friendship, prayer and encouragement. They are not therapists, counsellors, physicians, lawyers or financial advisers, and nothing they say is professional advice. If you are in crisis or need clinical care, contact a licensed professional or your local emergency services.

  • Mentors complete our training and a background check. We take care in selecting them, but they are independent people and we cannot guarantee their conduct.
  • Calls happen at times you agree between you. If you cannot make a call, give as much notice as you can; repeated no-shows may end the match.
  • Keep what is shared in a mentoring conversation private, and expect the same of your mentor, except where they must act to protect someone's safety.
  • Do not ask a mentor for money, employment, or a personal relationship outside the service.
  • Tell us at once if a mentor behaves in a way that worries you. We investigate every report.

08

Plans, billing and cancellation

Plans and prices
Mentorship plans are Companion at $50 per month, Guide at $100 per month and Shepherd at $150 per month. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax we must add.
Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically each month on the date you subscribed, until you cancel. We charge the payment method on file.
Your first call
The first conversation with a mentor is free. If you decide not to continue after it, tell us before the first charge and you will not be billed.
Cancelling
Cancel any time from your profile. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
Refunds
If something goes wrong — a mentor misses calls, or the service fails — write to us and we will put it right, including a full or partial refund. Beyond that, payments for periods already used are not refundable, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
Changing plans
Move up or down at any time. A change takes effect on your next billing date; we do not pro-rate mid-month.
Price changes
We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before a price rises, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
Failed payments
If a charge fails we will retry and email you. If it is still unpaid after 14 days, mentorship pauses; your reading, prayers and notes stay free and intact.

09

Our content and yours to keep

The Warm Faith name, logo, interface, photography, illustrations, devotionals and teachings are owned by us or licensed to us. You may read them, and share short excerpts with attribution and a link, for personal and non-commercial purposes.

You may not copy the service, republish our written content in bulk, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.

Scripture in the preview uses the King James Version, which is in the public domain. Where we add a translation that is licensed, its own terms and attribution will apply and will be shown with the text.

11

Suspension and ending this agreement

You may stop using Warm Faith at any time. We may suspend or close an account if you break these terms, if we must for legal reasons, or if keeping it open would put another person at risk.

Except where the breach is serious or urgent, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we close a paid account and you have not broken these terms, we refund the unused part of the period.

When an account ends, you can export your writing for 30 days. After that it is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

12

Disclaimers

Warm Faith offers spiritual encouragement, not professional services. Nothing on the service is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional or for a local church community.

To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, and we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular outcome will follow from using it.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under mandatory consumer law, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

13

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Warm Faith is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, nor for lost profits, lost data, or losses arising from the conduct of a mentor or another member.

Our total liability arising out of or relating to the service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period, or fifty US dollars.

14

Your responsibility to us

If someone brings a claim against us because of what you posted or did on Warm Faith, and you acted unlawfully or in breach of these terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and damages that result. We will tell you about any such claim and let you take part in the defence.

15

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of [State / country whose courts apply], and disputes will be heard by its courts. If you are a consumer, you may also bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live, and you keep the protections of that country's mandatory law.

Before going to court, please write to hello@warmfaithforall.com. Most problems are quicker to fix by conversation, and we commit to reply within 14 days.

16

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. For material changes we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app, and the date at the top will change.

If you keep using Warm Faith after a change takes effect, you accept it. If you do not accept it, you can close your account before that date and, for a paid plan, receive a refund of the unused period.

17

General

  • If a part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
  • Our not enforcing a term on one occasion does not waive it.
  • You may not transfer this agreement to anyone else; we may transfer it to a successor of our business, subject to the Privacy Policy.
  • These terms, the Privacy Policy and any feature rules are the whole agreement between us about the service.
