Start with who is near
When a lawyer asked Jesus, "Who is my neighbor?", Jesus told a story about a man who simply stopped. The Samaritan did not plan a program; he noticed someone in need on the road he was already walking.
Your road is full of neighbors: the coworker who is struggling, the older person on your street, the parent at school who looks tired. Service begins with paying attention.

Ordinary kindness counts
A meal dropped off, a text that says "I prayed for you today," an hour of help with a move. Jesus said even a cup of cold water given in His name is never forgotten.

A practice for this week
Ask God each morning to show you one person to serve. Write their name down. By the end of the week, look back at the list — you will see how much small faithfulness adds up.
