Love That Stays
“God's love is not a mood. It is a promise that does not change when you do.”
Today's verse
“Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:39
Paul finishes Romans 8 with a list — death, life, angels, powers, present, future, height, depth — and then, in case he missed something, 'nor any other creature.' Nothing can separate you from God's love.
Most of us believe this on our good days. The test is the other days: the ones where we let ourselves down, or let someone else down, or feel nothing at all. God's love does not fluctuate with your feelings. It stays.
Today, let that settle. You are loved, and there is nothing you can do about it.
